CSR activity
DRB Foods collaborated with Quota International of DLF City to spread health and happiness to young children that are trained and educated under their guidance.
Quota International is a social service organization committed to improving living standards of the underprivileged, especially women and children. With the efforts of the team of Quota International of DLF City led by Mrs Sandhya Bhatia, over 300 children who do not have access to education receive proper training through a tuition centre, and under-privileged women receive vocational training.
Alongside the company’s mission of promoting better health, Team DRB Foods distributed reusable, sustainable and eco-friendly water bottles to 300 young children, studying in Government Secondary School Chakkarpur, Gurgaon.
Since only 1 in 5 plastic bottles is recycled and 1.5 million tonnes of non-biodegradable waste is produced per year by plastic bottles, DRB Foods took a small, but significant step by touching a few lives through education. The aim was to educate the children about the harmful effects of plastic and the waste it produces, and to encourage them to drink more of safe, clean water provided by the NGO and stay hydrated.
The children had an earnest desire to receive knowledge. In turn, they recited poems, danced to the tunes of Bollywood songs and discussed their concerns with the DRB Foods team. The highlight of the initiative was to watch the children open the gifts and immediately fill the shiny red bottles with water.
With the help of our NGO partner, the Team further motivated the children to attend the tuition classes and make a difference in the world.
At DRB Foods, we are committed to promoting better health and spreading the love through our activities.
